Marriott Vacation Club
The Abound points program across Marriott, Westin & Sheraton resorts.
The Overview
Marriott Vacation Club now runs on the Abound points program, which replaced the legacy fixed-week model for new buyers. You purchase an annual allotment of Club Points and book across 90+ Marriott, Westin, and Sheraton Vacation Club resorts by season and unit size. Points can be banked (up to 100%) or borrowed (up to 50%), converted to Marriott Bonvoy points, or exchanged through Interval International. 2026 maintenance fees run about $0.815 per point.

What we liked
- Flexible Abound points across 90+ Marriott/Westin/Sheraton resorts
- Bank up to 100% and borrow up to 50% of points; Interval International access
- Convert points to Marriott Bonvoy (ratio rises with your ownership tier)
Watch out for
- High developer buy-in; 2026 dues ~$0.815/point (a 5,000-pt contract ≈ $4,074/yr)
- Best resorts require booking at the 13-month window
- Resale points often lose Bonvoy conversion and concierge perks
The Bottom Line
A dependable, brand-consistent points system — buy resale to skip the developer premium, but know resale points carry benefit restrictions.
